Hamburger Macaroni Goulash

This is one of those recipes that everyone ate growing up. Brown some beef, toss in some cooked macaroni and whatever else you have in the fridge and call it dinner.

I gotta say it is pretty terrific!

What you need,

1½ cup uncooked macaroni noodles
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. seasoning salt
¼ tsp. chili flakes
1 28oz. can of diced tomatoes
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 cup jalapeno jack cheese

Start by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until brown and cooked through. Drain off any excess fat.

Meanwhile cook the macaroni noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions.

Once the beef is cooked through add in the onion and garlic and cook for 4-5 minutes until the onion starts to soften.
Add the can of tomatoes, seasoning salt, chili flakes and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Simmer gently for 10 minutes. Add the cooked noodles into the pan and stir to combine.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the cheese until melted. Then finally stir in the parsley.

That is that! Such a simple classic dinner, it tastes amazing. The left overs are awesome by the way, perfect for lunch the next day.
